Bulls look to move on without Rose

The Chicago Bulls were recently dealt the horrid news that star point guard Derrick Rose would yet again be lost for the season. Change the record. While the news is devastating, the Bulls are no stranger to life without Rose or adversity, in general. Chicago has worked hard all year to keep itself in contention for the Central division’s top spot, as well as a top-three seed in their conference. Rose’s latest injury delivers at a fairly big blow to that, but there is still hope for a deep playoff run thanks to the rise of Jimmy Butler and the steady play from off-season acquisition, Pau Gasol.

It’s never fun to lose what amounts to your best player, but the Bulls have been handing back solid value to fans all year long (Bulls tickets are just over $198 on average) and are still a lock for the Eastern Conference playoffs. Losing Rose hurts, but there is still a ton to play for and plenty of reason to cheer the Bulls on live.

Let’s check out their most expensive and cheapest home games coming up in March to get a closer look at the value Bulls tickets will be providing, according to SeatSmart.com:

Most Expensive – (3/5/2015) VS. Oklahoma City Thunder | Avg: $239.53 | Get-in: $52

No one will be complaining about the price of Bulls tickets for this epic clash, as the Bulls take on Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant early in February. The United Center is going to be the place to be on the 5th, especially if Durant is back in time from a foot injury. Even if he’s not, Westbrook brings more than enough star power thanks to the insane tear he’s been on, while big man Enes Kanter could also give the Bulls problems down low. Chicago’s main flaw is obviously up front at the point guard spot in this battle, but if their defense can contain the rest of the Thunder they’ll have a solid chance of escaping this one with a win.

Cheapest – (3/3/2015) VS. Washington Wizards | Avg: $166.75 | Get-in: $31

Talk about value. Not only do Bulls fans get a sweet discount on Bulls vs. Wizards tickets ($31 under the season average), but they also get to see stars like John Wall and Paul Pierce live. If a healthy Bradley Beal takes the court, it’s an even tougher matchup with even more star power. No D-Rose hurts the matchup with Wall, but Chicago could start putting an extra emphasis on defense to compensate for the loss. Either way, the Bulls still match up well against the Wiz and this should be a fantastic contest between two teams that are separated by just three wins at the time of this writing.
